The Tuscany essence
Pisa, Cecina River Valley - Siena and Val d'Orcia Region
Arrival at Pisa Airport; meeting with your Tour Leader, Paolo, and transfer with private bus/taxi service to the Hotel in Pisa.
Day 2: Pisa and Volterra
Breakfast at the Hotel.
During the morning tour of Pisa: Piazza dei Miracoli (The Dome and The Leading Tower) and the Medieval part of the city, along the River Arno. In the late morning, we'll reach the ancient Capital of the Etruscan Age, Volterra. After lunch in a typical Enoteca, guided tour of the city.
On late afternoon, transfer to the Agriturismo near Volterra on time for dinner.
Day 3 & 4: Cecina River Valley
Walking tours of the area around the city of Volterra; we'll walk through towns and villages of the Era River Valley and the Cecina River Valley, like Querceto, famous for its medieval buildings and castle (and well known as wedding photo set), Montecatini Val di Cecina and the copper mine and many more. All the walks will be along forest, river, hills never too much difficult to walk on, and vineries private land. Wine and typical food/dishes tasting will be arranged al lunch time.
Dinner and night stay at Agriturismo near Volterra.
Day 5: Siena
After breakfast, departure for Siena and during the morning guided tour on an urban trekking trail.
You'll discover one of the most beautiful city of the world walking on ancient stones through Streets and "Vicoli", visiting Churches and Towers and reaching at the end the famous Piazza del Campo. Lunch in a typical Enoteca. In the afternoon we'll leave Siena to reach the Val d'Orcia, where we'll spend the next two days. Dinner and night stay in a Agriturismo.
Day 6 & 7: Val d'Orcia Region and Mount Amiata
Walking tours of the Val d'Orcia Region; famous for its landscapes, the several architectural treasures of different ages and the typical Tuscanian countryside villages and towns like Pienza, St. Antimo, Montalcino, S. Quirico d'Orcia, Montepulciano, San Giovanni d'Asso which we'll discover everyday walking through them and their fantastic surroundings.
This part of Tuscany is known worldwide for the quality of the food and wine; just to name a couple of them, the "Cacio di Pienza" (cheese of Pienza) and the Brunello of Montalcino, one the most famous red wine of all over the world.

Dinner and night stay at Agriturismo in Val d'Orcia.
Day 8: Etruscan Coast
After breakfast, departure for the Gulf of Baratti and Populonia, one the most famous Etruscan city for working and trading iron, which lay on the Tirrenian Sea coast. A nature walk along sandy beaches, rocky inlets and the Etruscan Necropolis. A day that you'll never forget.
In the late afternoon transfer to the Agriturismo in Cecina River Valley for dinner and night stay.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, a short and relaxing walk into the private land of a vinery in the surroundings of Agriturismo. In the afternoon, transfer to Pisa Airport on time for the return flight to Dublin.
